Why JV Marketing Is More Important To Your Business Now Than Ever Before

It seems almost everywhere I look these days, someone is declaring the ‘Death of Joint Venture Marketing’ …

There’s no doubt, in years past, when product creation required more time, there was less competition, and a lot more space between launches on the calendars … it was much easier to attract a large number of quality affiliates, with many of the associations evolving into long term JV relationships.

Today, there is more of just about everything … vendors, products, new product launches, marketing platforms, launch groups and calendars, etc.

Instead of 1 or 2 launches per week in the IM niche, there are multiple high profile launches every day of the week, in all popular niches … and although the pool of capable affiliates has also grown over the years, it’s simply not enough to keep up with the glut of new launches. A constantly increasing number of vendors are launching new products more regularly to a lesser number of experienced potential affiliates … resulting in fewer affiliates with the ability to make sales, that are new to a vendor and their products, getting on board launches.

With affiliate fueled launches generating less sales, the vendor compensates by either re-launching the same (or re-packaged) product multiple times or increasing the number of new products they launch, often resulting in hastily tossed together, lower quality products … and the cycle continues.

OK, by now you’re probably saying … “How does all that gloom and doom about the state of JV, Affiliate & Product Launch Marketing translate into JV Marketing being more important than ever?”.

I’ll explain …

Despite the fact that there are no doubt more launches that have not met the projected numbers of the vendors behind them than ever before, there are still many successful launches.

And aside from all the other variables that go into a successful product launch, which includes everything from the level of the vendor’s positive self and product brand, to the need for and quality of the product itself, there is one thing almost all successful affiliate fueled launches have in common …

Up to 90%, and more, of the top 10/20 launch sales leaders … which often account for nearly 90% of the referred sales, have worked with the vendor before and most have established JV relationships with them.

You can count on that, almost every time.

So the moral of the story is, JV Marketing is alive, well … and quite possibly more essential to the growth of your business than ever before.

How you go about it is the important part …

Focus on quality JV relationships, not the quantity of JV leads, as it’s not the size of your JV list that matters, it’s the relationships you develop and nurture over time with the individuals on it.

Let me point out right now that JV Marketing is not limited to simply supporting each others product launches … not by a long stretch, although that’s a popular misconception.

Creating and developing new JV relationships … which may include working together on all areas of business, from product creation to marketing systems to masterminds, should be a part of your regular day to day activities.
