Steve Jobs: 1955 – 2011 RIP

When I heard that Steve Jobs had passed away last night,
I was not surprised … as I knew he was in poor health, but it
was still very sad news and a bit of a shock. It didn’t really hit
me until I walked past the desk in my home office a few
minutes later … I had my iPhone in my shirt pocket, my iPad
under my arm (as I often have it in my lap while watching TV),
and then looked down at the MacBookPro which is pretty much
the central hub of my business.

What struck me at that moment was that all of them were
integral parts of my business … and none of them would have
existed today if a child born to an unwed mother and given up
for adoption back in 1955 had not grown into one of the most
important technical and business minds in my lifetime …
